Giacomo Conterno Barolo Francia 2016

Barolo "Francia" is located south of Serralunga d'Alba, an area which originates full bodied and powerful wines characterized by body and complexity but always made elegant and vertical thanks to the mainly calcareous soil which gives saltiness to the taste.

In the vineyard the work is painstaking, it is enough to think that only one bunch is left for each vine. The must undergoes maceration for 30 days, fermentation takes place in Austrian wood vats without toasting and aging takes place in oak barrels for 48 months.

It shows a ruby red with garnet tones, the olfactory spectrum is broad, cherry, small fruits, mentholated and toasted notes. In the mouth it shows a strong character, composed of a present and ripe tannin and a record persistence.
