The history of Castello dei Rampolla began in 1965 when Alceo Di Napoli Rampolla inherited from his father the estate of Santa Lucia in Faulle which allowed him to implement ideas that at that time were far from the beliefs of other producers, for example, thanks to the help of his friend Giacomo Tachis was one of the first in Chianti Classico to plant vineyards of Cabernet Sauvignon with which today is produced the "Vigna d'Alceo" one of the meaasime expressions of Cabernet of our territory.
