It is a vine of Bordeaux origin, more precisely from Gironde area, nowadays very common all over the world, often vinified in blends with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
The bouquet is intense and on a delicate fruity background expresses strong herbaceous notes. The taste is dry and well structured, with a taste-olfactory persistence which recalls the vegetal sensations perceived by the nose. It adapts very well to blends with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
